Two applicants whose letters were read by staff were the Wayne County Agricultural Society (Wayne County Fair Board) — a fence-replacement phase to improve the site's appearance — and Alice Noble Ice Arena — an HVAC upgrade for the lobby. The Alice Noble letter described broader economic impact, claiming events at the arena generate roughly $5,000,000 in direct and indirect economic benefit to the city and region. A third applicant (linked to the College of Wooster/Highlight Opera) remains pending because the college must finalize approvals; staff said that application will be considered separately in September.
