Board directs president to finalize superintendent evaluation, sets June 30 deadline

The Woodbridge Township Board of Education on June 17 voted to direct the board president to incorporate previously submitted feedback into the superintendent’s evaluation and to provide the completed evaluation to the superintendent by June 30, 2025.
Board member Ms. Perez moved the resolution and Mr. Sadouna seconded it. The motion passed in brief public session with four votes in favor and two abstentions; Ms. Anderson and Mr. Treeblasser abstained, the board secretary recorded.
Board counsel explained the board would enter closed session earlier in the meeting to discuss matters implicating privacy interests related to candidate interviews. When the board returned to public session it read the resolution for non-conflicted members to vote on, per the board’s procedures. The resolution instructs the board president to incorporate “previously submitted feedback” into the evaluation and to deliver the evaluation to the superintendent on or before 06/30/2025.
The board did not discuss the substance of the feedback in public, and the resolution states that information about the closed-session discussion will be released when the reason for confidentiality no longer exists. The board’s public-notice statement at the start of the meeting noted the district published the meeting date, time and place in advance and posted the notice on the district website and to local newspapers.
