Frostburg updates schedule for combined‑sewer‑overflow projects; several phases in construction

Larger work on 10b and 10c is expected to span roughly two to two‑and‑a‑half years once the main construction starts; staff said the bulk of that work is likely to begin in spring 2026 and continue into early 2028. The city noted it can shift contractor crews among its multiple active sites to mitigate rain days; the state grants approved weather or rain days to avoid working when conditions would flood streets or cause excessive mud.
Staff also said after 10b and 10c reach the state's percentage milestone, the city will likely pursue additional areas including Frost Avenue, Hill Street and Spring Street and a handful of intersections. No legislative action was taken at the hearing; the monthly update was presented for the public record and questions were taken from commissioners.
