Olympia planning commission backs 2045 introduction chapter but public and commissioners press for clearer climate framing

Olympia Planning Commission Vice Chair Daniel Garcia moved and the commission seconded a recommendation that the city council approve the proposed Olympia 2045 comprehensive plan introduction chapter as presented at the June 16 meeting; the motion passed.

The public hearing and ensuing commission discussion focused less on text edits than on how the plan will treat climate change.
