The school board approved a correction on June 16 to place confidential employees back on the district’s confidential classified salary schedule, separating those positions from the leadership/management salary schedule.
District staff told trustees the change affects four confidential positions in the district, including executive coordinator roles in human resources, the superintendent’s office, business services and payroll. Staff said the shift responds to a 2022–23 reclassification that had moved those employees onto the management schedule and created overlap with management classifications.
Staff clarified the action does not change pay rates: there is no compensation increase and no retroactive pay tied to the move. The district said the change takes effect July 1, 2025, and was presented as a collaborative correction between district leadership and the affected employees.
Trustee Geneva Marsh moved to approve the confidential classified salary schedule; Trustee Lau seconded the motion and the board approved the item on a voice vote. The district said there is no immediate financial impact from the schedule change.
