The Belvidere CUSD 100 Board of Education unanimously approved a recommended high-school social studies curriculum on June 16.
Board members said the recommendation came from a committee of teachers and administrators who reviewed options and coalesced on the current recommendation. The district indicated the change supports curriculum cohesion from middle school to high school.
