Board approves districtwide switch to EduPoint student-information system

The Belvidere CUSD 100 Board of Education voted June 16 to adopt EduPoint as the district’s new student-information system (SIS) and data warehouse for school year 2026.
District staff and vendor representatives described a multi-vendor review process and a planned yearlong transition to the new system; the switch includes a data warehouse module the district said will help track achievement and close gaps.
At the meeting, administrators said three vendors were vetted and EduPoint was selected for cost savings, included functionality and the ability to add a data warehouse. "This is going to be a huge change truly impacting all of our parents, all of our students, all of our staff in the district," Superintendent Dr. Shug told the board. Staff said implementation will be staged over a year to allow a thoughtful transition.
Board members praised the selection process; Mr. Bell and Mr. Fry, who attended the meeting as vendor representatives, were acknowledged for their roles in vetting systems. The board approved the adoption by roll call; no member voted against the contract. The district will return with implementation timelines and training plans as the vendor and internal teams prepare for the switchover.
