Ethan Hunt, representing the administration, introduced the bill and appeared with Anne Bedowski, personnel officer, and Kelly Kenny, supervising county attorney. Hunt said the ordinance adopts the personnel officer’s recommended classification and compensation plans.
The council opened a public hearing; no members of the public signed up to testify. After brief discussion the council called the roll and recorded seven ayes. The clerk announced “Bill number 47‑25 as amended has passed.”
The ordinance updates classification and compensation plans, and addresses related provisions involving boards and commissions, the resilience authority director, public ethics and financial disclosure language as reflected in the amended text presented to the council.
