KELLER, Texas — Members of the Keller Economic Development Board spent a substantial portion of their meeting pressing for clearer permitting rules after a local business owner described being routed into a different land-use category that required a Special Use Permit and added months and substantial costs to opening.
The discussion centered on the city’s Unified Development Code (UDC) and how some business types fall into “gray” categories that trigger additional reviews.
