SACO, Maine — The Saco City Council voted unanimously on June 16 to renew a special entertainment permit for Fun Town / Splashtown USA and to extend liquor license privileges for Volume Services Inc., doing business as Sodexo Live, for three after‑hours events scheduled this summer.
Councilor Gunn moved to open the public hearing and then moved to grant the renewal and extension for the dates July 12, Aug. 2 and Aug. 23, 2025. The motion passed on a roll‑call vote, 5‑0. City staff reported all permit fees were paid and that code enforcement, finance, fire and police departments raised no concerns during their checks.
Why it matters: The approval allows the park operator to hold 21+ after‑hours events on the specified dates and extends liquor privileges in the permitted area concurrent with Sodexo Live’s existing liquor license (which expires Aug. 30, 2025).
Ending: No public speakers registered during the hearing; the council closed the hearing and approved the permit and extension.
