Pilot striping on Price street extended through October; borough to compile resident feedback

"We established this as a 6 month pilot project. So it was implemented in March. Early April," a staff member reported. The committee agreed to compile emails and resident reports, and staff will assemble a memo summarizing enforcement, parking impacts, and any recommended next steps for the October Public Health & Safety meeting.
To date, staff said they had received mixed feedback: some residents reported the change was helpful; others said parking has been displaced to neighboring streets, and at least one neighbor on Essex said parking overflowed onto their block. The borough also reported photographic evidence of motorists parked in violation of the new striping; staff have been coordinating with the chief and Paul on phased enforcement. Initially, staff will issue warning letters rather than tickets while the pilot remains temporary.
Staff said all resident emails are being saved to a SharePoint folder accessible to council for review; the borough’s info@narberthpa.gov address and direct emails to the project lead are both accepted. Leading up to the October meeting, staff (including the chief and Paul) will prepare a memo describing enforcement efforts and operational impressions for the committee to review and decide whether to keep, modify, or remove the striping.
No formal vote or policy change was recorded at the June 13 meeting; the committee asked staff to continue monitoring and to present compiled feedback and a staff memo in October.
