The council approved a planning and zoning recommendation to allow surveying and consolidation of parcels owned by Lehigh Acres that front Bilby Road (State Road 48) and Butler Drive so the owner can list the property for sale.
Dennis Krauss Jr., of JDJ Surveying and Engineering, told the council the county GIS acreage was incorrect, prompting the owner and realtor to request updated surveys before listing. Krauss said the work will consolidate part lots across the south end and land under the power line into one tract; some of the parcels lie outside the city limits and were not surveyed. The council moved, seconded and approved the planning commission’s recommendation.
Krauss said there was no buyer yet and the work was a preparatory step to enable marketing the consolidated tract. The council did not attach conditions to the approval.
