Lawrenceburg to post firefighter/paramedic vacancy July 3 after planned retirement

At the Board of Works meeting, a staff member identified as Jenny said the retirement notice was submitted and asked for permission to post the vacancy internally to avoid overtime and ensure coverage during summer vacancies. Mayor Kelly Millon asked for a motion; the board moved, seconded and approved the in-house posting.
Officials said the posting is intended to reduce overtime and maintain department coverage during vacation periods. The meeting did not include a discussion of the salary range, recruitment timeline beyond the July 3 posting date, or whether the posting would be external after the in-house period.
