County staff announced an open house for the Transportation Connection Plan study team on Wednesday, June 11, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the DeSoto City Hall gymnasium to present recommendations, including reconnection options for Astra Enterprise Park.
Adam Norris and Brian Peter from the study team were present and staff said they and other staff will be available to discuss recommendations with the public. The county manager added that the information will be shared at the May 29 board meeting as a report.
Why it matters: The plan includes reconnection and supplemental recommendations for an industrial area and may affect local road projects, development access and coordination among city, county and state transportation agencies. The open house provides an opportunity for public input before staff presents the report to the board.
No formal board action was taken at the May 22 meeting on the plan; the item was announced as an upcoming public engagement opportunity.
