Board approves Education for Employment Plan required by state statute

The Pewaukee School District Board on May 19 approved the district’s annual Education for Employment Plan, a state‑statute‑driven report that documents K–12 career and technical education activities, postsecondary connections and business partnerships.
Adrianna Black, Continuous Improvement Coordinator, said the plan is drafted in March, reviewed with a community advisory board (which includes higher‑education and business representatives) and then presented to the board for approval. Black said local feedback from advisory members is considered best practice although not statutorily required. Once approved by the board, the plan will be submitted to the Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) for review and posted on the district website by the July 1 statutory deadline.
Board members had no substantive questions and voted to approve the plan. Administrators noted the district uses the plan to coordinate K–12 work that connects students to postsecondary learning opportunities and career mentors.
