Vice Chair moved the order on behalf of the board and the motion passed 4–0 with Commissioner Buck recused. Health & Human Services Director Eve Gray described Saint Vincent de Paul’s role delivering family shelter services and noted that the county’s funding leverages additional outside dollars for the program.
Commissioner Park asked for the contract amount during discussion; Gray confirmed the amendment amount and the resulting contract total. The action was recorded as order 25061008. Commissioner Buck stepped out of the vote because he is related to Saint Vincent de Paul’s executive director emeritus, who remains employed by the organization; the board noted that recusal on the record and proceeded with a four‑member vote.
The board delegated authority to the county administrator, their designee or subdelegate to sign contract actions. No further changes to the program were discussed during the item.
