Tracy Barrera, county auditor, told the court the original construction contract for the project was awarded to Integrity Contractors Incorporated on Dec. 23, 2024, for $1,067,777 using ARPA funds. Barrera said the change order keeps the total project cost within the dedicated ARPA allocation and is within the allowed change‑order cap.
Why it matters: the change order increases the project total but, according to the auditor, remains within budget authority established for the renovation. Commissioners approved moving forward with the change orders by motion and recorded votes.
The motion to accept the change orders was made by Commissioner Riley and seconded by Commissioner Pavelic. The court recorded votes in favor from Commissioner Bowen, Commissioner Pavelic and Commissioner Riley; Commissioner Gillespie was absent.
Barrera explained the alternate parking was an alternate bid included in the bidding process and that she separated the line items to explain the total of $92,262. No amendments, postponements or further study directions were recorded on the change‑order item during the meeting.
