Sheriff warns jail budget may not balance after surge in inmate housing, transport costs

Next steps: commissioners did not take a formal vote on staffing or capital requests during the workshop; the sheriff said he will provide the court with detailed personnel cost estimates and vehicle capital figures so the court can decide during final budget adoption.
