Bradley County commission authorizes chair to write TDEC about plat-review delays

"I move that we authorize the chairman to send such a letter to TDEC," Commissioner Winters said when introducing the recommendation from the Legal & Legislative Committee. Commissioner Goins seconded the motion.
Commissioners said the recommendation came from the committee’s review of constituent concerns about state delays in approving plats. The motion passed on a recorded roll call with 13 in favor and 1 absent.
The action directs the chairman to request a review; it does not change county permitting rules or create a new county-level review process. Commissioners framed the vote as a step to ask the state agency for information and possible improvement in turnaround times.
The commission did not specify a deadline for TDEC’s response in the motion recorded at the meeting.
