South Lyon — The South Lyon City Council on May 27 approved the city’s 2025–26 budget and adopted the related millage rate after holding a public hearing with no members of the public speaking.
City Manager Mike Darga briefed the council on the budget documents. Councilmember Mosher moved to approve the millage rate resolution; Councilmember Bogart seconded the motion, which passed on a roll-call vote. Councilmember Hanssen moved to approve the annual budget resolution; the motion was seconded and carried on roll call.
The public hearing on the 2025–26 budget was opened and closed during the meeting; no comments were offered. The council did not attach any conditions during the approval roll call. The budget documents were circulated to councilmembers in advance and were included in the meeting packet.
Mayor Stephen B. Kennedy presided over the meeting. City Clerk Lisa Deaton handled roll-call votes and will include the votes and adopted resolutions in the meeting minutes.
