Camdenton trustees hear safety updates; district plans large reunification drill and new threat-assessment documentation

District safety and school resource officers told the Camdenton R-III School District Board of Education on June 9 that many categories of incidents were down and that the district will pursue additional training and a full reunification exercise this summer.
The district safety presenter said staff recorded fewer drug arrests (many earlier incidents coded as distribution, not simple possession) and declines in vandalism and stolen-item reports. The presenter said officers and building administrators increasingly used de-escalation and reserve officer involvement only as a last resort.
