Committee approves 5-foot driveway variance for 558 Poppy Drive

Staff told the committee that the village code permits a 24-foot driveway within the right of way and that the applicant requested a 5-foot variance so the driveway would maintain the same width from the garage to the road. Staff said setbacks would still be met and recommended approval conditioned on the applicant applying for a driveway permit.
An applicant was present but did not speak. Trustee Bailey made the motion to approve Resolution 38 R25; Mr. James seconded. The committee voted in favor; the motion carried. The committee recorded no conditions other than the driveway-permit requirement.
The approval allows the property owner to pursue the permit process required by village staff; the permit must be obtained before work in the right of way begins.
