CHSD 128 administrators updated the Facilities & Finance Committee on the districtTitle IX audit and an administrative action plan to address findings, focusing specifically on locker-room accessibility and booster-club funding disparities at Libertyville High School.
Brian (staff member) told committee members the district has met with athletic directors and relevant staff to review locker-room accessibility issues identified in the audit. For Libertyville High School, the audit highlighted disparities among privately funded booster clubs; Brian said the district is collecting financial summaries from teams that have booster clubs and that those summaries are due in June. He said the district will review the financials with legal counsel.
Board members asked when the board would next receive an update. Brian said, given summer schedules and work needed to review documents, the next update will likely come in the fall and that the matter would be added to future committee agendas.
