Boone County approved drainage plans for a proposed 8,000-square-foot building on the JB Love property, while clarifying that zoning and building permits are handled separately.
Carrie Daley of Christopher Burke Engineering described the project as located on a 4.8-acre site on the east side of County Road 500 West, about a half mile south of State Road 47, and said “All of the roof drains will be tied into a tile on-site.” She explained the design includes a new dry detention basin in the northeast corner that will outlet into a field tile on the adjoining property and then to an open regulated drain.
Surveyor's Office staff emphasized the present review covered drainage only and that any required zoning or planning permits must proceed through the area plan process. The board approved the drainage plans by voice vote.
No specific dates for construction or final zoning determinations were provided during the discussion; staff noted additional permitting could be required before building activity begins.
