Boone County officials approved preliminary plans for Peabody Farms Subdivision West Section 3 and East Section 3 after county staff and the engineer recommended they meet stormwater requirements.
Carrie Daley, with Christopher Burke Engineering, told the board West Section 3 will include “106 lots on about '23 and a half acres” and that stormwater will drain south into Fishback Creek through several detention basins. For East Section 3, Daley said the proposal is “about 51 single family lots on about 18 acres” and that stormwater will use existing detention basins outletting to Fishback Creek.
The surveyor's office also reviewed the plans and recommended approval, and the board approved both sections by voice vote.
County staff said the projects were reviewed for compliance with the county stormwater ordinance and standards and that the engineer's calculations were accepted subject to standard office review. No detailed bond, timing, or construction sequencing was presented during the public portion of the meeting.
