Board confirms five student representatives and approves 2025–26 administrator appointments

After convening in closed session pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, the Albemarle County School Board moved June 12 to appoint five student representatives for the 2025–26 school year and to approve a slate of school administrator appointments the board reviewed in closed session.

The board made the student appointments in a motion from Miss Lee, seconded by Dr. Berlin, with members voting in favor and the clerk recording the motion as passed. The motion named five students as representatives and alternates for 2025–26 (recorded in the meeting minutes as Student A, Student B, Student C, Student D and Student E).

The board also approved the list of school administrators for 2025–26 by motion from Miss Lee, seconded by Mr. Page; members voted and the motion passed. The board did not read individual administrator names into the open minutes during the public session; it recorded that the list had been reviewed during closed session and was approved in open session.
