Council approves housekeeping finance resolutions and makes two board appointments

The Mount Pleasant City Council on June 3 approved routine administrative resolutions to update authorized investment officers and bank signatories, and made two appointments to local boards.
The council unanimously adopted Resolution 2025‑10 to remove Kimberly Meek and Tracy Craig as investment officers on city accounts and to add Greg Nijhoff as an authorized investment officer for certification agreements with financial institutions. The council then approved Resolution 2025‑11 to remove Tracy Craig and add Mayor Wesley Lyon as an authorized signatory with Guaranty Bank & Trust for city depository accounts. City staff described both items as housekeeping actions to reflect personnel changes.
In other appointments, the council appointed Alan Salinas to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustments and appointed Mayor Wesley Lyon (by motion) to the AtcoG board member seat previously held by the former mayor. Both appointments were approved by unanimous vote.
No substantive policy changes or additional financial authorities were added beyond the name updates recorded in the adopted resolutions.
