The Village of Rye Brook Board of Trustees voted May 27 to donate $6,000 to the Village of Port Chester to support the 2025 Independence Day celebration and fireworks.
Staff said Port Chester requested an increase from prior levels because costs for fireworks and related services have risen. Trustees said many Rye Brook residents attend the July 4 event and that the Port Chester display is a regional attraction. The motion passed unanimously.
The board asked staff to complete the donation paperwork and thanked the planning committee and intermunicipal partners.
