Dr. Jennings, staff member, told trustees the amended language removes references to a positive work calendar and adds vacation accrual consistent with the Education Code requirement that classified employees — including classified management — receive annual vacation leave at the regular rate of pay. He said the amendment mirrors language from the prior chief business official’s contract and ensures compliance with state law.
Trustees moved to approve the amended contract agreement for the chief business official and the motion passed by voice vote. Dr. Jennings noted the amendment’s specific change: removal of the positive-work-calendar language and inclusion of vacation accrual for classified management.
