Strafford County advances radio dispatch rollout, plans .gov email migration

Strafford County officials reported progress this week on two countywide communications upgrades: completion of core radio dispatch software tied to a federal grant and a planned migration of county email accounts to .gov addresses.
County staff said the software portion of the radio purchase is complete and that radio units will be distributed to towns and installed in the coming weeks. Justin, staff member, told the commissioners the next questions are the distribution schedule and “who’s gonna be responsible for this equipment as we turn it over to the towns.” He said an installer will be corralled and installations could finish by July, with some portable units able to be delivered and set up without waiting for every installation to be complete.
