The Prescott Valley Town Council unanimously authorized a resolution adopting the final development plan for Asura Medical, a proposed 15,000‑square‑foot micro‑hospital on State Route 69.
Mr. Norock, a town presenter, described the site at 12125 East State Route 69 as commercially zoned (CI, commercial industrial) and previously rezoned in 2006. The project, sited west of State Route 69 along Village Creek Boulevard, was presented as a 15,000 square‑foot building with an emergency department (eight emergency beds), four inpatient beds, a CT scan suite, an ambulance drop‑off area, staff offices and a design that allows future expansion; the building will be a maximum of 35 feet tall.
Applicant Cindy Brown, who described herself as a local clinician, said the facility will operate with clinician ownership and be designed to maximize throughput by converting urgent‑care capacity into emergency beds during evenings and nights. “We will be well equipped to handle, on a daily basis, probably 50 patients, maybe more,” Brown said. She also confirmed the project has no plans for a helipad.
Council member motioned to authorize the mayor to sign resolution number 2025‑2024 adopting FDP‑25‑001 for the Asura Medical project; another council member seconded. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
