Board tables contracts with River Rock Academy and Netney Learning Services pending performance presentations

The Keystone Central School Board voted to table two service contracts — the River Rock Academy services contract and the Netney Learning Services contract — until each provider makes a presentation with performance data.

Board members raised concerns that required reports on student outcomes and program metrics had not yet been presented. One board member said the board had previously requested a report detailing enrollment, outcomes and other measures and had not received it; the providers are now scheduled to present at the July 10 work session, the board was told.

The motion to table both items carried on a roll-call vote, 5–3. Several members said they were willing to approve renewals once the providers gave the presentations and answered questions about placement outcomes and program effectiveness; others said they could not renew contracts without the promised reporting.

Board members explicitly asked administration to schedule both providers to present and to share the requested data in advance of the vote.
