Mentor planning commission approves vehicle service facility and three industrial additions with conditions

The Mentor Planning Commission on June 12 approved a package of development applications, including a conditional use permit and final site plan for a vehicle service and repair facility on Lakeshore Boulevard and Dawson Boulevard, an architectural modification at 8618 Twinbrook Road, and building additions at 8878 East Avenue and 7550 Tyler Boulevard.

The approvals were granted after applicants and city staff presented plans and commission members discussed site details and conditions. “I'm Joe Myers, the architect for the project,” said Joe Myers, describing the vehicle service facility operation and noting that vehicles would be driven on-site by staff and customers would use a waiting room while work is done. The commission approved the conditional use permit with four conditions and later approved the final site plan with seven conditions; roll-call votes show all voting commissioners present supported each motion.
