Board moves April 9, 2026 meeting to April 2 because of NSBA conference

To accommodate the NSBA conference travel schedule, the Murray School District board voted to move its April 9, 2026 meeting to April 2, 2026.
The Murray School District Board of Education voted June 12 to change its regular April 9, 2026 meeting date to April 2, 2026 to accommodate board member travel to the National School Boards Association (NSBA) conference in San Antonio.
Superintendent Covington explained the NSBA conference dates published for 2026 (April 10–12) required a travel day and conflicted with the board’s previously scheduled April 9 meeting; she proposed moving the meeting to April 2 or, alternatively, April 16. After brief discussion the board approved April 2, 2026. The superintendent said she will update the district calendar and board members’ calendars and post the change on the district website.
The change was approved by voice vote.
