Board approves 9¢ per-meal increase in Sodexo food-service contract

The Murray School District Board of Education approved June 12 an amendment to the Sodexo food-service management contract that raises the per-meal management fee by $0.09.
Scott Taggart presented the request, describing the contract as a five-year agreement and stating the district is entering year three of that term starting July 1. Taggart said the current management rate is about $2.05 per meal and the amendment would increase that to $2.14: "The request is to add 9¢ to that, so it would be $2.14," he said. The board moved to approve the contract amendment and adopted it by voice vote.
Board members asked no further questions during the vote. A board member later asked Taggart to pass along thanks from PTA for the earlier food-service presentation to parents and volunteers.
