Delaware Valley board reviews final budget details, grant awards and textbook disposition

District administrators told the board the final fiscal-year budget remains as discussed at the prior meeting: a proposed 1.976% tax increase and a balanced budget totaling $98,916,182. The administration said there have been no changes to those figures since the last meeting.
Administrators also briefed the board on recent grant awards and program funding. The district received a Perkins allocation of about $58,000 for 2025–26, and staff reported that the Supplemental CTE equipment grant this year was about double its traditional amount. Officials said the grants will appear on the upcoming agenda for formal approval and that consolidated grant allocations (Titles I, II and IV) were still pending; the district expects to submit applications by July 1 if allocations arrive in time.
Other business included the annual textbook display, which staff rotated through branch libraries: textbooks had been at the Milford branch and then moved to the Dingmans branch for public review. Administrators said they will bring textbook and curriculum approvals to the next meeting. The agenda preview also listed routine items such as career-technical advisory committee approvals, depository designations, lunch and breakfast costs (unchanged), and an expulsion matter.
No budget vote or final approvals were taken at the work session; board members were reminded that items could be added to the voting agenda between meetings.
