Administrator Miller explained the action is a show of support for the nonprofit’s grant application and does not involve the township conveying land: “We’re not giving them any land. It is not land that we have. This isn’t… This is their land. This is what they’re working on. This is, this is an independent project. It is happening in Delhi Township, you know, on their land.”
Trustees dispensed with the reading of the resolution and passed it by roll call. The resolution will be included in the Western Wildlife Corridor’s grant application packet.
No township funds or property were dedicated by the resolution; it is an endorsement to accompany the nonprofit’s application to the state conservation grant program.
