Delhi Township’s parks director told trustees Wednesday the dog park project is moving into its installation phase after crews finished drainage work and prepared concrete pads.
Director Randy Soupy said crews “did finish up a few extra trenches for the drainage along with the water fountain drainage issue. They are complete.” He said pads were formed and the township planned to pour concrete the following day, after which “we'll mount the fountains, install after that the equipment, the agility stuff, some benches we've ordered.”
Soupy told trustees kiosks and directional signage will be added: one kiosk on the north side of the park and additional signs and rules signage at the dog park entry. He also said staff are assessing additional small paving projects that could be bundled with the dog-park work, including the dog park entryway and a tennis-court entry.
Trustees asked about wayfinding to the dog park; Soupy said staff would place directional arrows and that temporary landmarks may be used until final signs are installed.
No formal vote was required for the construction updates. Soupy said he will report progress to the board at future meetings as installation continues.
