Westwood School Committee elects chair, vice chair and clerk for coming year

At the start of its June 12 meeting the Westwood School Committee conducted its annual reorganization and approved leadership positions for the coming year.
A motion to nominate Mayor Plocken as chair was seconded and carried by unanimous voice vote. Doree Parmalee was nominated and elected vice chair, and Joanna French was elected clerk; each nomination was seconded and passed unanimously.
Outgoing chair Amanda Phillips was thanked for her service and presented with a gavel engraved "Chair Amanda Phillips, Westwood School Committee, 2024 to 2025." The committee recorded the reorganization votes by voice and moved on to regular business.
