Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education members spent nearly two hours on June 11 considering proposed increases to student meal prices after food-service staff said costs and expenditures have risen sharply in recent years.
The district’s food-service presenter, Mr. Bailey, reviewed current and proposed prices, saying the elementary breakfast would move from $1.20 to $1.50, middle school breakfast from $1.75 to $2.35 and high school breakfast from $1.95 to $2.35. He proposed lunch increases to $2.75 (elementary), $3.75 (middle) and $3.75 (high). "The current price for elementary is $1.20. The proposed price, $1.50," Mr. Bailey said during the presentation.
