Quakertown board approves two new school administrators; district honors retirees and student reps

Dr. Crater, introduced as coming from the Haverford School District where he served as assistant middle school principal, told the board he is “incredibly honored and excited to serve as the principal at Strayer Middle School.” Board members described the hires as additions to build administrative capacity ahead of next school year.
The meeting’s recognition portion was lengthy: the superintendent and building leaders read names and paid tribute to dozens of staff retirees across the district’s elementary, middle, and high school levels. Speakers named service lengths, roles and campus impacts. In addition, three student representatives who are leaving the board spoke about their experiences; one described graduation highlights including a drone show and senior events and urged the district to preserve student voice in planning.
The board approved the human-resources consent agenda by voice vote and welcomed the new administrators; no additional conditions or amendments to the hires were recorded.
