No residents or members of the public spoke during the ordinance-specific portion of the public hearing. The council gave no additional public debate on the ordinance during the recorded segment.
After the vote on Ordinance 25-999, the council moved to go into executive session to discuss a possible land purchase or grant in North Plainfield and contract negotiations related to health benefits, stating that no public action would be taken on those matters at the meeting and that the body would adjourn directly from the executive session.
