Connetquot district recognizes 2025 class of tenured teachers and administrators

Connetquot Central School District recognized a group of teachers and administrators granted tenure during an evening ceremony at the district auditorium. The district said the Board of Education had formally approved many of the tenures this past Tuesday at its regular meeting.
The recognition covered both administrative and classroom staff from across the district. Administrative tenure candidates named during the event included Rob Kussain, Vinny Malafrante, Joe Modica, Joe Piambo, Cheryl Sosa, Brian Winkel and Jessica Yawney Kohler. Additional classroom candidates announced by district staff included Jennifer Arbiter, Erin Burns, Emily Honigman, Diane Ciraco, Lisa Strom, Chris Egoglia, Lindsay Sorny, Lisa Midland, Linda Zimmerly, Jennifer Gonzalez, Victoria Martone, Casey Noreen, Samantha Prince and others listed as part of the district’s 2025 tenure class.
Christina Poppe, identified during the program as the district official presenting certificates, handed certificates to recipients onstage. District staff said a booklet with candidate information was prepared by the superintendent’s office and distributed at the event.
The ceremony included brief remarks thanking staff who organized the program and those who helped prepare the materials. Organizers named during the program included Kristen Fantry, Victoria Pappas and Jen Koch. The district invited attendees to refreshments in the cafeteria after the formal recognitions.
