The Humboldt Unified School District Governing Board voted June 12 to renew its membership with the Yavapai Library Network, a countywide library consortium that provides shared cataloging, digital books and interlibrary transit services to school and public libraries across Yavapai County.
Supporters, including retired Humboldt Elementary librarian Deborah Reynolds and Coyote Springs librarian Britney Rai, told the board the network saves school staff time through centralized cataloging and increases student access to books and ebooks via the Sora platform. “YLN delivers on all of these fronts,” Reynolds said during public comment, urging continuation of the partnership.
