NJ DOE accepts Winslow Township School District self-assessment; district scores 76 of 78 under Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act

Dion Davis, Winslow Township School District director of human resources, told the board on July 11 that the New Jersey Department of Education accepted and approved the district's 2023-24 school self-assessment under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act.
Davis said the district's consolidated grade was 76 out of a possible 78 points and that individual school scores ranged from 73 to 78. He said the official report and an updated narrative have been posted to the district and each school's website.
The narrative, Davis said, says the district has implemented programs and approaches to address harassment, intimidation and bullying since the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act took effect, has used an incident reporting and tracking software (identified in the meeting as "IK12"), provided ongoing staff and student training, implemented HIV-related information and prevention programming, and completed investigations within the statutory 10-day timeframe.
"As a district, we are committed to addressing HIV related incidents as they are reported in an effort to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for all students," Davis said. (Dion Davis, Director of Human Resources)
Davis asked whether board members had questions; none were raised at the time. He said the official report was placed in board members' folders and posted online.
