The council voted unanimously to transfer remaining funds from a previously set‑aside $250,000 special projects allocation to pay for Mayfest repairs and identified equipment needs.
Staff explained the funds were originally set aside during the FY24 budget process for special park projects. Because the construction and project timeline extended across fiscal years, not all of the $250,000 was used. The June 10 amendment moves the remaining balance from fund balance into the current fiscal year so fleet and facilities can complete items such as a tractor repair and other identified maintenance.
Councilmember Foster moved to approve the budget amendment; the motion carried unanimously. Staff said the transfer aligns with the intent of the original set‑aside and will allow immediate repairs to proceed.
