During closed session trustees approved an additional nine weeks of unpaid leave for an employee identified in the closed‑session announcement as employee ID number 160466. The board also announced the employment of Rebecca Alaseo as principal at McKinnon Elementary School; Alaseo spoke briefly and thanked the board and district staff.
In open session the board approved an updated job description and a title change from Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. The board also approved a 10 percent increase to the classified management salary schedule as recommended in a salary study, and the item passed 4–0.
Board members discussed that job classification work is ongoing and acknowledged the broader effort to update multiple job descriptions and classifications across the district to reflect new compliance and program responsibilities that emerged since the COVID‑era funding and program changes.
