The Santa Rita Union Elementary School District board approved a public disclosure and accepted a tentative agreement with the Santa Rita Teachers Association that would raise the certificated salary schedule by 2% effective July 1, 2025 and another 2% effective July 1, 2026.
District staff presented the AB 1200 public disclosure with the estimated total cost for the two years. The disclosure lists an overall cost of $928,826 for the two‑year package, which also includes changes to class size stipend (from $350 to $400) and an increase to certificated hourly pay (from $48 to $50). Staff said the cost is already included in the draft budget presented during the public hearing.
Trustees unanimously approved a motion to accept the tentative agreement and the AB 1200 disclosure; the item will return for formal adoption at the board’s next regular meeting.
Board members publicly thanked the SRTA negotiating team and noted the collaborative nature of talks amid the district’s broader budget constraints. The tentative agreement was described as a measured settlement that the district has already budgeted for in the draft 2025–26 budget.
The public disclosure and tentative agreement will come back to the board for adoption at the next meeting, per standard public disclosure requirements.
