Cobb County opens five solicitations, postpones probation case‑management RFP to June 26

Cobb County procurement staff publicly opened submissions for five solicitations on June 12, 2025, and announced that the RFP for a probation case‑management system was postponed to June 26, County procurement staff said.
"We have 5 solicitations to be open today, but I have 1 postponement I would like to go over," said Cameron Hebbler, senior procurement specialist with Cobb County Procurement Services. "To bid 25-6809, the RFP for probation case management system has been postponed to 06/26/2025."
The bid opening is a routine procurement step in which procurement staff read received proposals and bids into the public record; no contract awards were made at the session. The submissions announced included multiple bidders on a road construction ITB, several vendors responding to an RFP for structural firefighting gear, numerous firms for an inmate clothing ITB, and single responses for two other solicitations.
Most detailed pricing was read for B2306, an ITB for Shallowford Road at 40 Parkway West. Cameron Hebbler read four bids for B2306: Glosson Enterprises, $1,025,209.91; Baldwin Paving Company Inc., $1,267,308.26 (bid bond included); Umshave Construction LLC, $1,068,540.55 (BIP bond included); and Backbone Infrastructure LLC, $995,561.60 (bid bond included).
For RFP 25-6896 (structural firefighting gear), which the procurement specialist said was evaluated on multiple quality factors, staff read vendor names only: Bennett Fire Products Company Inc.; North America Fire Equipment Company Inc.; ProFire Intactical; 10 8 Fire and Safety LLC; and Williams Fire Apparatus Inc.
The ITB for inmate clothing (25-6906) drew multiple vendor responses read into the record, including Acme Supply Company Limited; Bob Barker Company Inc.; Care Apparel Inc.; CharmTex; Kodiak Consulting LLC; Hard Time Products; Holmdale Footwear; ICS Jail Supplies Inc.; Phoenix Supply LLC; Swayya LLC; and Victory Supply LLC.
The county received a single lump‑sum bid of $1,270,000 from The Yanover Company for ITV 25-6908, Jim Miller Park Outdoor Arena deck coating and painting; Hebbler noted a bid bond was included. A single response was also read for ITB 25-6911 (full‑service maintenance for valves and actuators): Georgia Western LLC.
Hebbler reminded viewers that a listing of bidding opportunities estimated to be in excess of $50,000 and preliminary bid results and awards, once approved, are available on the Cobb County procurement website and the OpenGov portal. "The next regularly scheduled bid opening for the county will be 06/26/2025," he said.
The June 12 session publicly documented the firms and prices that will be reviewed in subsequent procurement evaluations; the transcript does not record any contract approvals or votes at the opening.
