The Dickson County Planning Commission approved the final plat redivision of Lot 1 of Spurlock Acres, a 8.1030.15‑acre tract on Buddy Road in Burns, contingent on the required signatures and a letter from the Water Authority of Dickson County confirming availability of sewer service.
Commissioner Amanda Berry made the motion to approve the redivision, which was seconded and passed by voice vote. Commissioners discussed sewer availability and noted that Jones Creek Road and Buddy Road now have sewer lines, which enabled the applicant to redivide the lot into two parcels. Staff said the Water Authority’s letter of availability is valid for one year and is customarily required prior to recording the final plat.
Commissioners also asked the minutes of the prior meeting be amended to clarify prior testimony about an unpermitted building, a traffic assessment (not a traffic study), and the reason a commissioner abstained on a previous vote (client relationship). The commission approved those minutes as amended before proceeding to the Spurlock Acres final‑plat vote.
Staff said the necessary Water Authority signature or letter would be obtained before recording the subdivision; the commission approved the final plat with that condition.
